Loose, Sensuous Hair Prepped with Tulle – 2016

The hair by WorldGreat Peter Gray at the Badgley Mischka Spring 2016 New York Fashion Week Show was loose and sensual with some texture at the ends. Peter Gray prepped it during the long wait backstage before the show with charmingly photographic tulle tied at the neck, ending a big bow, to keep it in place. For more on this lovely show with many red carpet gowns and some great jewelry, all inspired by 1950s sensual ladies from Buenos Aires, click HERE

Bundle Up With Style, Badgley Mischka - 2014

Bundle up with style.  A Russian style hat and Gustav Klimt inspired gloves looked interesting at the Badgley Mischka Fall 2014 Mercedes-Benz NY Fashion Week show. Glimpses of the romance and opulence of the turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau movement in Vienna, Gustav Klimt and Josef Hoffman in particular, walked the runway for the red-carpet fashion designers.  For more, click here:

The youngest fab fashionista, Violet, was photographed backstage at New York Fashion Week for Badgley Mischka’s Spring 2016 Show. She was wearing a very fashionable headband with her fab fashions, from head to toe. Her Mother, Emily, is a Badgley Mishka Fashion Designer and it was noted Violet was wearing embellishments on her dress, and forehead, like those on the runway. Phone Lights Up Mac Faces @ #NYFW - 2016

Clever Clever. Seen on Scene. Some smart Mac makeup artists used a smart phone mounted with handy makeup and brushes to perfect the makeup on models backstage just before the shows started. The lighting was equivalent to that of a powerful camera and it stayed steady bathing the model’s face with flattering and practical light. We saw the iPhone 6 and Galaxy in use and photographed a model getting a finishing touch up at the #AAU #NYFW show. We also photographed a close-up (bottom) of one in use at the Badgley Mischka show for Spring 2015.  Inspiration for all makeup artists backstage.  Brilliant.

Modern Brigitte Bardot by Peter Gray – 2015

Modern Brigitte Bardot by Peter Gray - 2015

Modern Brigitte Bardot bouffant with loose piece-y textured hair by WorldGreat Peter Gray for the Badgley Mischka New York Fashion for Fall 2015.  Inspired by the baroque embellishment traditions of the matador, combined with the severity and restraint of Modernist architecture. There are long versions of this but I like the shorter lob version, as here. It looks more modern to me.

Hair not perfectly in place but with a gorgeous and modern finish, without looking messy. Two ornate gilded roses, in different colors, were added to nestle at the back of the glam styles.
