Chignon With Beads @ Carolina Herrera - 2010

As New York Fashion Week nears for Spring 2015 (September 4th to 11th) here’s a look-back to Spring 2010. With hope and a prayer there will be more ideas like this, and not too many ponytails and nothing hair! This modern  chic chignon had bronze, gold or silver beads embedded by Orlando Pita for Carolina Herrera’s New York Fashion Week show that year. The beads, on a headband, showed through easy-going, gently-twisted, tucked-under knots of hair resting elegantly on napes. The hair wasn’t stiff, structured, or too perfect and was exquisite. This is so pretty on her red hair. Great for a holiday look.
