Frida Kahlo Photo Interpretations - 2016

Photo: © Franco De Simone

My new blog, just up on ModernSalon is on Frida Kahlo, the Mexican surrealist painter and icon, now a cult, who led a dramatic pain-filled life and painted extraordinary self-portraits featuring her one famous eyebrow, a faint mustache she didn’t hide, and inspirational hair concoctions on top of her head. Franco De Simone’s exhibition, Frida Kahlo: “An Illustrated Life” opens on July 7 to September 7, 2016, at the Joseph D. Carrier Art Gallery in Toronto.
