He Invented Hair Extensions - 1981

Photo: Unknown

Do you know your hair history?  Simon Forbes of Antenna Salon in London literally invented hair extensions before anyone else even thought of making short hair long or fine hair thicker with hair that could last 3 months.  You may have seen his colorful extensions first on Boy George (George O’Dowd) when they helped catapult both of them to fame.  Here’s the Dome Cosmetics Monofibre extensions, some subtly shaded, with braided false hair on top, like a bonnet.  For more, go to WorldGreats on www.helenoppenheim.com

Yes, extensions seem to have been around forever, but they weren’t. Even these first ones weren’t made of 100% human hair, that came later.
