John Sahag and his Beautiful Dolls - 1996

Photos: David Webber

John Sahag’s hairstyles for the Issey Miyake 20″ dolls tressed and dressed for the Robert Tonner Doll Company’s fund-raising venture shows his amazing, highly original styling – “modern, young, playful, provocative, edgy with unique shapes, forms, textures, harmony and balance.”  Actress, Demi Moore, whose gamine he famously cut for the movie Ghost, bought one of them for amfAR.

It was 1996, and the hair was inspired by Issey Miyake’s fashions, which Sahag knew well from working many times with the great designer on his fashion shows in Paris, his ads and books.  For more Dolls, HairThen, John Sahag, Press Photos on www.helenoppenheim.com
