The great Odile Gilbert will be wowing with a show during the annual Intercoiffure Atelier at the Waldorf Astoria, October 20th. But only for ICA Members. Lucky them. I’m a fan, Loved the hair she concocted for Kirsten Dunst as Marie-Antoinette in the movie, the hair she designs for the top fashion designers and their ads – for Karl Lagerfeld/Chanel, Jean Paul Gautlirer, the world’s biggest names, and love her inspirational and beautiful book, “Her Style By Odile Gilbert” showing she is the tops. I have it.
The collage shows the Paris-based hair artist’s Surreal Netted Chiignons for Catherine Malandrino’s F/W 09 NY Fashion Week show, inspired by Man Ray’s 1931 photo “The Net”, by Schiaparelli and the Surrealists of the 30s, Love Odile in action, top left, seeing something she probably wishes she wasn’t seeing!
