1979. Ritz Wrapz by Antonio da Costa Rocha, La Coupe. Long hair was wrapped with ritzy wired fabrics. Big success for La Coupe, who offered them in gold, silver, black, white, red, pink, blue, green, yellow and more. Vogue did an article on this original idea, giving detailed instructions how-to, another version made a WWD cover. For more, go to HairThen, La Coupe, 70s, Ritz Wrapz on www.helenoppenheim.com

Loved this then and still love it now.. Everytime I see this photo, I want someone to do it to my hair. It is sophisticated, simple and glamorous – all at the same time…
Thanks, Toni. Yes, me too, love the idea. We struggled to make them work and the photo
session, started at 8 pm, ended at 5 am! It was all worth it.
Loved this! I was there for this! Still looks cool today. Remember the rags in gold lame I made for you? Hundreds! lol
Lois, you worked at La Coupe and Sassoon while I was at both. Gold lamé rags were Sassoon!!! This was Ritz Wrapz!! Loved them both. And thank you for all the work!
