Vidal Sassoon 1980 - Soft Cubism

Photo: Lorraine Sylvestre

In 1979, there was Sassooning for Evening, with original hair accessories inspired by the graphics of cubism, by Avram, Vidal Sassoon, NY.  Here is one of the snake charmers from the famous Soft Cubism Collection, this one of black plexi waving diagonally through the hair.  A delicate veil tilts over one eye, at a rakish angle, asymmetrically.  Rhinestones add glimmer and glitter.

Silky, super-shiny hair is glamoursly rolled-under and forward to frame and flatter the face. Asymmetric rolled-under fringe slants up and on the forehead ending in a futuristic feather effect. Scroll down the Blog for another of Avram’s Snake Charmers and see more on HairThen, Vidal Sassoon, Soft Cubism.
