Seen On Scene Tattood Model @ AAU – 2018
Seen on scene, Chris Lavish and lovely friend. The self-described “Intergalactic Tattoo Module” is wearing a ton of tattoos – and there’s sure to be more we can’t see – with a Khoman Room leather jacket and pants, Versace glasses, a hat that says: “Make Fashion Week Great Again” – yes, oh yes, please! The Columbian-born, New York-based 6′ 2″ tattooed model of RNWY.com is with AgencyModels.com (@nycclavish on Instagram) and is seen here with Clara Pasevanto-Meyer (@Savento / Clara@fashionweekonline) in a Tanya Taylor dress, Jessica Simpson shoes, Top Shop bracelet. They are photographed backstage at the Academy of Art University (AAU – @academy_of_art) School of Fashion show during New York Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2018. Stay tuned for larger photos of each image in the Scene album, photos of the hair and fashions, all to be archived on the website, and to see the great hair by Aveda’s Jon Reyman.

CommentVery Fancy Sunglasses NYFW – 2017
Sunglasses are becoming very fancy. Take these designed for the New York Fashion Week AAU Spring 2017 Fashion Show with shagged hair. They were designed by Yolanda Chiu in collaboration with Jing Qian. The Academy of Art University School of Fashion (AAU) is based in San Francisco and features designers of the future who graduated showing their work at New York Fashion Week shows, which must be a big thrill.

CommentCooked Wet-Looking Mashed Hair – 2016
The hair, by Jon Reyman, Aveda, for the Academy of Art University School of Fashion New York Fashion Week Show for Spring 2016 was cooked, wet-looking “dirty” hair. It felt stiff and sticky, swirled and mashed around the top of the head, the back left long. All had a wet look which was not wet, a Jon Reyman signature style. A wig cap was used to “cook” the hair with a flat set, more hair, fashions, shoes, click HERE

CommentPhone Lights Up Mac Faces @ #NYFW – 2016
Clever Clever. Seen on Scene. Some smart Mac makeup artists used a smart phone mounted with handy makeup and brushes to perfect the makeup on models backstage just before the shows started. The lighting was equivalent to that of a powerful camera and it stayed steady bathing the model’s face with flattering and practical light. We saw the iPhone 6 and Galaxy in use and photographed a model getting a finishing touch up at the #AAU #NYFW show. We also photographed a close-up (bottom) of one in use at the Badgley Mischka show for Spring 2015. Inspiration for all makeup artists backstage. Brilliant.

CommentSamurai Warrior Hair Loops #NYFW – 2015
Aveda’s Jon Reyman played his cards right at the Academy of Art University School of Fashion Show for Fall 2015. He invented a sleek samurai warrior hair loop which went with the fashions of 10 collections presented by 15 designers. The hair was center sectioned with very straight partings and flat ironed. Seen here Mac makeup artist Victor Cambellin in action. And the cards? Just a fun way to protect the clips from making marks, For more versions and fashions, click HERE
