Hair Pins Design Dress Hair - 2020

As so many people aren’t going to salons, or going less often, finding ways to dress up hair in need of a cut can be important every now and then for the stylish.   Here’s one idea. Add a ton of bobby pins to make a hair design. This is what Aveda’s Jon Reyman did on sleek wet hair for models of both sexes at the Fashion Hong Kong New York Fashion Week Show Fall/Winter 2020, designer Harrison Wong. Some 50 to 100 bobby pins were used on each head, but the idea would work with less.   Have fun …

Significant Sculptural Coil @ NYFW - 2019

Aveda’s Jon Reyman really worked to get this coil just so backstage at the Fashion Hong Kong New York Fashion Week Show which took place at Industria Stuidios. And he did. The significant sculptural hair coil worked well with the About Heaven Please+ fashions, one of three designers showing their fashions with a difference, each with a different  hair look and different makeup.  The eyes had delicate black lines here and there, more on one eye, no mascara, neutral lips, by Aveda’s Janell Geason. For a colorific Fall, be inspired by the bright eye shadows slashed magnificently on one eye, a makeup statement by Janell Geason, worn with disheveled cornrows by Jon Reyman, both for Aveda.   The coats, by fashion designer Mountain Yam for 112 mountainyam, were colorific and equally magnificent, shown at the Fashion Hong Kong New York Fashion Week Show for Fall 2019, with the designs of two other designers. To see  some great fashions, hair and makeup, different for each of the three designers, CLICK HERE

Fashion Hong Kong New York Fashion Week for Fall 2019 featured three interesting designers.   Anvelglosa’s Annette Chan showed strong leather silhouettes inspired by the “good old days” worn with black leather yacht master hats on top of long, luscious curly wavy hair by Aveda’s Jon Reyman. We like the black leather on the hoop earrings too. To see more from this show, very different looks from three talented designers, CLICK HERE and stay tuned for more here …

Grubenhelden, a German label, honored miners who no longer mine, some of whom they brought with for their New York Fashion Week Fall 2019 Show. The  beautiful finger waved hair by Marco Vogt for Aveda was waved with the help of waving clips (Top right)  The models first walked the runway, a coal miner’s set, with the clips out, stylized waves in place ( large photo left.) For their second runway walk, the hair was brushed out for a more casual look (bottom right.)   For more waves, some fashions, and the story, CLICK HERE
