About Time Met Museum Exhibition – 2020
The Costume Institute’s About Time: Fashion and Duration Exhibition, was originally scheduled from May 7 through September 7, 2020 as part of the Museum’s 150th birthday celebrations. Because of Covid, it now opens October 29 and runs to February 7, 2021. The exhibition will trace more than a century and a half of fashion from 1870 to the present, curated by Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu. Expect to see flashbacks and fast forwards with a disruptive timeline of fashion history with black and white fashions having an Impact. Virginia Wolfe will serve as the “ghost narrator” of the exhibition made possible by Louis Vuitton and Condé Nast. The 2020 Costume Institute Benefit, also known as The Met Gala, originally scheduled for Monday, May 4, 2020, will sadly not take place this year due to the global health crisis. A timed-entry exhibition
ticket is required for entry to About Time and capacity is limited. If you are purchasing a General Admission ticket online, you can reserve an exhibition ticket. New tickets will be released every two weeks.
