Dreamy ’20s-Inspired Geisha Bride – 2011
I have always loved the feeling of this dreamy ’20s-inspired Geisha Bride from the Elisa Palomino New York Fashion Week Show in 2011. Yes, the hair by Jon Reyman for Aveda is somewhat big, and exaggerated, as is the large squashy flower with feathers, but the fashions, the model, the photograph, the bride are all fabulous divine wonderful, don’t you think? CommentAmazing Architectural Hair Design – 2016
A “faux bob” with an amazing architectural finish. Fabulous. Jiwon, Privé by Laurent D Salon used a ¼” curling iron in very small sections then, with a comb, she manipulated the curls into finger waves to go up to there, with just the right movements. That’s a big white flower, not showing on the other side. For other styles art directed by Jorge Luis with this model, click HERE

CommentBRIDAL AMOUR, WAVING BEAUTY – 2012
As I marvel at the hair wave statement being made on PBS’s “Downton Abbey” every week– even more wonderful this season – I keep thinking of the Vivienne Mackinder waves from her 2012 Bridal Amour Collection. This waving beauty had her hair Marcel waved, then gathered into a low chignon to create the illusion of a bob. So similar, so beautiful, don’t you think? “Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairytale,” the WorldGreat said at the time about her modern, fresh bridal designs, many of which are on the website, click here and scroll through.
