Playful Desserts Go to Bridal Heads – 2017
The Ines Di Santo playful patisserie-inspired New York Couture Bridal Show for Fall 2017 featured delicious-looking faux iced desserts in pale pink, blue, lavender and cream on velvet-wrapped headbands perched charmingly on heads. The backdrop for the show was on theme, with a huge wedding cake. The hair, by Matthew Swinney, L’Anza, had a carefree French-girl look with loose buns and soft wisps. The beautiful bridal gowns, which included an ice blue dream dress, were romantic with lace, embroidery, ruffles, appliques and some were sheers for swooning. Gold Leaf Painted On Brides Heads – 2017
Traditional brides wear veils but more and more brides are not. These rich-looking brides at the Galia Lahav Spring 2017 Couture Bridal Show had gold leaf painted on their heads for a headdress effect which was absolutely stunning. Jorge Luis, Privé Salon, first added mouse to the hair to act as a glue, then he placed the foil on top of the head, and used the end of a rattail comb to give texture to the foil making it look like the most amazing jewelry. CommentRomantic Dreamy Hair – 2013
Romantic hair inspired by fairies, woodland nymphs and the haunting beauty of Max Reinhardt’s 1935 film “A Midsummer’s Night Dream” was the theme for Peter Gray’s hair for the Badgley Mischka Spring 2013 New York Fashion Week show.
The ribbon-like hair floated angelically, some accented with a tiny flower or two nestling here and there. Small random crimps gave an airy effect and added to the magic. A braided shelf acted as a base for the complicated carefully conceived dreamy hair, lovely for beautiful brides. For more romance and how-to’s, click HERE:
