Gone With The Wind Hair Inspiration – 1987
This is Carol Dlugos, the gorgeous model, and Vivien Leigh look-alike in 1987 starring in La Coupe’s iconic Tara Collection. Here she is as Scarlett O-Hara, played by Vivien Leigh in “Gone With The Wind, the most famous movie of all time, filmed 1939. La Coupe’s Scarlett by Kim Lepine had hair swept up on both sides of a mid-part and there were movements at the ends. Dancing Hair, Elegant, Romantic – 1986
Dancing hair by the great Antonio da Costa Rocha of La Coupe has never dated, although it was created, with huge success, in 1986. False hair was braided, twisted and twirled to wrap around the head for a romantic, elegant evening, giving flattering height and width to the head. Some of the braids had colors entwined. So many great photos in the album, a how-to, and the video that inspired the iconic style. More Dancing Hair, click here:

Forties On A Roll – 1992
Forties on a roll, a big squashy pageboy roll at the ends – for nostalgics who want to look retro yet modern. La Coupe’s Kim Lepine was inspired by Vivien Leigh in the early forties, at the time she accepted the Oscar for her legendary role as Scarlett O’Hara in the movie “Gone With The Wind.” The model, Carol, Dlugos, who looked like Vivien Leigh, also “played” her in La Coupe’s Tara Collection.
