Bundle Up In The Snow, With Style - Fall 2014

It is almost time.  For the Fall 2016 Collections at New York Fashion Week.  Stay tuned.  In the meantime, be inspired by this interesting man with all his accessories and hair up to there I photographed in the freezing cold, in February, during NY Fashion Week for Fall 2014. Fab from head to toe.  He didn’t wait for me to find out who he was before hopping into a passing taxi. I blogged here on him the next day and later added him to the Scene 1 album on my website, click here:

Six months later, I was scrolling through Discover on Twitter, something I look at every so often, and there he was. Did a little research.  He is the Market & Accessories Director for Marie-Claire, known for his avant-garde style and impeccable taste. His name is Kyle Anderson, and he is also a Consultant, Stylist, Fashion Icon,  to be found on Twitter @KyleEditor

Keep Warm With Nicholas K Fashions – 2014

Photos: Randy Brooke

One of two pages in Peluquerias Magazine featuring warm fashions for harsh weather, from the Nicholas K Collection shown at the Mercedes-Benz NY Fashion Week show for Fall 2014. There was a sea theme for the loose, layered, multi-functional urban warriors and I love they showed practical fashionable ideas to keep both sexes warm from top to toe for rotten weather, as it was the week they showed their fab fashions.

The hair, by Jon Reyman for Aveda, had a strong asymmetric geometric look and can be seen in more detail, along with innovative wearable makeup by Lauren Andersen for Avon, if you click here:

Peter Gray’s low swept bangs with a deep diagonal part and strands tied at the back for Badgley Mischka’s Fall 2014 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Show were sometimes worn with lovely lazy loose waves at the back and were all about polished texture with a modern edge that translated seamlessly from day into evening.  For his signature trick, a tutorial, some of the fashions for this show, click here:    And check out his original idea for this show at the end (not used!)

Day 1 at New York Fashion Week was cold with lots of snow not yet fully cleared when I was there very early in the day!   Not much time but here’s a few fashionables Seen on the Scene. The man on the left was interesting from top to toe, and in between.  He ran off into a taxi before I could get his name and details of all the fun stuff he was wearing.  The lilac hair with furs and different-colored glitter nails is Andy Crosten.  Bottom, shoes photographed in the very long, windy/cold line up for press credentials!  Bottom right is Charis in blue feather fur jacket with hand jewelry.  Backstage photos to come later.  Stay tuned …
