The original was colorful, but I have taken the liberty of manipulating and colorizing it with PhotoShop to just reds. George said he trusted me. Wishing all my Blog and Website fans Happy Happy Holidays and all the very best, in every way possible, for 2017. To some, thank you for being there for me. You know who you are. This illustration is by my friend, the very talented hairdresser and artist, George Karkoulas (1954-1993.) Always remembered. “I love you, mad, George,” he used to write with every illustration he did just for me, which he sent me every Christmas for years. He worked with me on some and did trust me to tweak those sent, so I hope he would be proud to see how I do that and a little more with my Christmas cards at the end of this album. Wishing you all a Happy Happy for 2014 and all the very best for The New Year.
This illustration was by George Karloulas in the early 90s. Every year he’d send me different masterpieces with Holiday Hair at this time of the year, or earlier so I could publish them in a Christmas issue. He always told me I could do whatever I wanted with his illustrations and sketches because he trusted me, so I have manipulated the colors for this one because I sent the original as a Christmas card before. I am sure he would be thrilled to see this.
