My Hair Column Published in Ukraine – 2012

My Hair Column Published in Ukraine - 2012

Photo; David Zanes

Way back in 2012, Peluquerias published a very lively edition of the magazine in the Ukraine, who were also online with some very exciting hair posts. They published and translated my whole columns. A real trip to see my columns in other languages, which have also  been published in Chinese, Korean, Russian and in Argentina. The magazine and my columns are no longer published in the Ukraine or the other countries (only in Spain, US/Canada, France, Italy, Australia now.)   Take a look at this “Cat in the Hat Blue Boy” with hair up to there, by WorldGreat Ezel. “I turned up for the job,” says Ezel “and I knew the guy’s hair was going to be bright blue. What I didn’t know was that it was going to take me two weeks to get the blue off my hands and out of my brushes, But I think it worth it because the hair is what makes the picture fabulous!” To see more Ezel archived on this website. dating back to the 80s, CLICK HERE

Patricia Fox In All Her Glory - 2019

Photos: Helen Oppenheim

Patricia Fox, aka @PurelyPatricia, is a Style Advocate, Fashion Ambassador and she also accepts commissions for Interior Décor. I call her the ultimate fashion eccentric, always dressed to the nines wowing with headdresses which are worn to be noticed, And they are. In fact, she wows from top to toe, even when taking out her dog for a walk, usually wearing something extraordinary on her head.   Here is she at the new Felice 56 Restaurant in the Chambers Hotel dining with moi (having lunched at MoMA earlier the same day). She is wearing a hat/headdress by Nini k Hats, Martina Loncar Jewellry (with a double “l”) and, the pièce de résistance, a Christian Louboutin bag she couldn’t resist from the new Nordstrom in Manhattan.

Martin Parsons Loved Hair Educator RIP - 2019

Photos: Roberto Ligresti. Collage helenoppenheim.com

Martin Parsons, a loved hair educator, passed away on October 21, 2019. RiP. The Canadian hairdresser was famous for his ageless long hair designs, bridal hair, and his fast updos he wowed audiences with on the hair stages of the world. He made complicated beautiful updos look so easy to do. Here are three:
Left: Sophisticated Wave half up/half down with a high front … Center: Side Sweep Tumble, half up in four sections… Right; Layers of “lace” airy and dramatic, same sized triangle sections gathered together and draped in a swirling motion, each laced section pinned over another laced section. His videos and books live on …
