Visit to Dover Street Market NY – 2024

A visit to the Dover Street Market in New York (and London) is always been such fun. (Even if I have to go by elevator from floor to floor and once the lovely old elevator conked out in New York, on a Sunday, stranding me on the 6th floor, until the fire department came to the rescue to take me down!). There’s 6 floors and a lower level, with mostly avant-garde inspo on every floor. At a price, I must warn. Here’s just some inspo from a recent visit.

The Manet Degas must-see exhibition opens to the Public on September 24th. 2023 and will remain on view until January 7, 2024 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It’s sure to be a huge success.
Impressionists Edouard Manet (1832 -1883) and Edgar Degas (1834-1917) were two giants of art history, they were rivals in paint and on paper over the course of two decades and produced some of the most provocative and famous images in Western art. They admired and criticized each other. Over half of the more than 160 works in the exhibition are drawn from collections of the Met and the Musée d’Orsay, the rest on loan from nearly fifty other institutions and collectors.
