Guys, if you want the best of barbers, a haircut, perhaps a five minute hot-towel massage, a neck shave and if you want an experience like no other, in a turn-of-the-century environment surrounded by historical antiques and memorabilia, visit the NYC Barber Shop Museum on the Upper West Side.  The Master Barber, Arthur Rubinoff, CEO of Reamir & Co. is the Founder and Art Historian, a fourth-generation barber residing in a small space jam-packed with various vintage artifacts dedicated to preserving the rich history of barbering, collected over decades, first by his Father than him. Included in this feast for the unusual are antique chairs like the Louis Vuitton one photographed here, mirrors, vintage razor clippers, hairdryers, umpteen barber poles and other unexpected memorabilia, some of which date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s. The Barbershop Museum is just one working barbershop Rubinoff owns.   Three different packages starting at $47 are offered,  inspired by the 19th, 20th, and 21st Century, all combined with progressive techniques and looks. The $74 package comes with a Reamir haircare or shaving product, the $118 package comes with complimentary champagne, black caviar! And, yes, the poster in the collage above features a young Ronald Reagan in a shaving cream ad from the 30s, one of many vintage photos. For more photos and info, CLICK HERE
