Backstage @ Badgley Mischka FW – 2024
Beauty photographed backstage at the Badgley Mischka New York Fashion Week Show for Fall Winter 2024 which took place at the Starrett-Lehigh Building on West 26th Street, and was inspired by the precision and drama of Park Avenue’s glass towers. “It’s a dance we love to do, of control and extravagance,” said the designers, Mark Badgley and James Mischka. The hair here, by Peter Gray and Team, was a classic mid-parted all one length bob, one of the few looks not the knotted ponytail style in the show. The makeup, by Mary Irwin, was about the Moody Blues, perfect for this gorgeous blue ruffled floor length dream gown. To see more fashion, hair and makeup, CLICK HERE

CommentPeter Gray’s Knot @ Badgley Mischka – 2024
The hair by Peter Gray and Team for the Badgley Mischka NY Fashion Week FW 2024 Show was a super sleek pony tail with a little knot achieved by weaving with a big needle then securing with black thread. “Simply Sumo” Gray called it. The makeup by Mary Irwin was about Moody Blues, with a touch of Twiggy, the look being inspired by classic Twiggy makeup, but modernized with placement and color. CommentBadgley Mischka Face NYFW Fall – 2023
The face by Mary Irwin for the Badgley Mischka New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2023 Show was inspired by Tamara De Lempicka, the portrait painter loved by the beauty and fashion worlds.
“This makeup is structured but painterly, soft but defined,” said Irwin. “It’s an ultimate play on using shadow and light to create depth, almost trompe l’oeil.” ViseArt Duo Chrome gave the lid reflectiveness. The soft structure of the eye had an elongated shape, with soft dimension going up almost to the brow, hard edges softened beneath the eye where Gold Liner was blended in the lower lash. There was no lower lash mascara, the upper lashes were curled, with just a little mascara. Blush was applied as a diffusion, fair or medium skins got a taupey/neutral lip, darker skins got a berry tone patted in.
