Glam Chic Chignon with Crystals – 2011
This “fearlessly” glamorous chic chignon, different from every angle, has a lot going on – but it all works. Inspired by Hollywood movies (Anne Baxter in “All About Eve” and Bette Davis in “Dark Victory”) Peter Gray created this look for the Fall 2011 NY Fashion Week Show by red-carpet designers, Badgley Mischka. The off-center, spiral-rolled chignon resting low on the nape has a rope twist on the opposite side, and a long strip of crystals placed over the diagonal part. CommentKeep Warm With Nicholas K Fashions – 2014
One of two pages in Peluquerias Magazine featuring warm fashions for harsh weather, from the Nicholas K Collection shown at the Mercedes-Benz NY Fashion Week show for Fall 2014. There was a sea theme for the loose, layered, multi-functional urban warriors and I love they showed practical fashionable ideas to keep both sexes warm from top to toe for rotten weather, as it was the week they showed their fab fashions.

The hair, by Jon Reyman for Aveda, had a strong asymmetric geometric look and can be seen in more detail, along with innovative wearable makeup by Lauren Andersen for Avon, if you click here:
CommentMessy Crocheted Hair NY Fashion Week – 2014
Messy Crocheted Hair by jon Reyman for Aveda made a statement at San Francisco’s Academy of Art University School of Fashion Show during Mercedes-Benz NY Fashion Week for Fall 2014. Six lucky graduating students showed their work with this great hair idea. The great yellow coat is by Jaci Hodges and Nisha Hanna Btesh. Here, yarn is being crocheted through the hair which included corn rows at the sides and back, a fish tail braid, all wrapped up with red or other colors threaded here and there.
