Dreads Piled Up On Hunky Man NAHA – 2017

These blonde dreads with some piled high on top of the head are by Ammon Carver, Ammon Carver Studios in NYC and are one look from his Collection of sexy hunks Nominated in the Men’s Hairstyling category for the North American Hairstyling Awards ((NAHA) 2017. Are the dreads inspired by Warriors, Tarzan, Game of Thrones? Whatever, the great dreads on nipple-pierced International Model, Alexander Masson, must have taken a few years to grow are best done on thick hair, and on a man who is groomed, the beard too. Carver has just opened a second AC Studio on West Broadway and is a Global Creative Director for L’Anza. Healing Haircare. Congratulations to the Avant Garde Winner at NAHA 2017 –  Chelsea James of the Forma Salon in Engelwood, CO. And congratulations to all the winners. And all nominated.  I judged the award winners for the third time this year and must admit it was hard to choose in some of the categories, which included this one.

Fun Hair Braiding Ideas for NAHA – 2017

Here’s two fun but wearable hair braiding ideas. One an updo for special occasions, the other half up, half down, can be worn for day or night. They are both by Julie Kocanyar, Reverie Salon, Chicago and were nominated in the Texture Category for the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA/PBA) 2017, to be held in Las Vegas this Sunday, July 9, at the Mandalay Bay In Las Vegas.  (Since I posted this, Julie Kocanvar won the Texture Category Award at NAHA July 9. Congratulations.)
