CommentSoft Updo @ Stella Nolasco NYFW – 2018
Soft updo by Jorge Luis for the Stella Nolasca New York Fashion Week Show Fall 2018. The hair was blow dried with fingers for a very soft look, some strands bent around a 1 1/2″ barrel iron – “bent not curled.” The designer, who is from Puerto Rico, said she would auction off and donate some of her feminine fashions with feathers, lace, sequins, sheers and big glasses from the show to benefit the cause. CommentSoft and Udone Hair @ NYFW – 2018
Soft and undone hair by Jorge Luis at the Stella Nolasco New York Fashion Week Fall 2018 show at Pier 59 Studios. This gorgeous lace dress was one of the fashions by the Puerto Rican designer. The hair was blow dried with fingers for a very soft and undone vibe, some strands bent around a 1 1/2″ barrel iron “bent not curled.” Pieces of hair were organically grabbed, pinned up and placed in thin sections, then secured with bobby pins, some strands left out at the front to loosely frame the face. CommentHaute Pixie Wigs@ NYFW – 2018
New York Fashion Designer Zang Toi took a trip to Rome, which inspired his “Haute Roman Holiday Fashions” for New York Fashion Week Fall 2018. The Sahag Workshop Team, working with Joel Warren and The Salon Project, were then inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s famous pixie in the 1953 movie “Roman Holiday.” According to Sahag’s Cynthia Varon, whose idea the hair was, The Workshop Team burned the midnight oil cutting short “Rockstar Pixie” looks, Sahag style, with harmony, for all the models. Amazingly, none of them look like wigs. The fashions featured florals, and a crown of flowers perched on top of some of the pixie wigs, looking gorgeous. For more from this show, CLICK HERE

CommentColorific Geometric Hair NYFW – 2018
Colorific Haircuts for the Marc Jacobs New York Fashion Week Show for Fall 2018 were by Redken’s Guido with Josh Woods, who colored the Vidal Sassoon ’60s-inspired modernized cuts on real hair, on nine of the world’s top models. No wigs. The looks, as seen here in the July issue of Peluquerias Mazgazine, were all about skill, precision, placement – “knowing exactly where the place color to emphasize the haircuts is key for these looks,” said the colorist, who wanted the girls to look like they were lit in a night club, with neon and strobe lighting in our references.” And let’s not forget congratulations to Marc Jacobs, an American designer who is not content with safe nothing boring hair walking his runways!
