Asymmetrical Slant White Wig – 2016
Asymmetrical slant wig, “sort of a surf cut,” said Edward Tricomi of his white wigs at the Cristina Ruales New York Fashion Week Show for Spring 2016, which took place outside, on a lovely sunny day, at the Out Hotel. “It is a very modern bob with symmetrical bangs, inspired by the way the fashion designer cuts fabrics,” said Edward. The makeup, by Mahasin Phillips for Inglot, focused on the eyes, not following the shape of the eye but the striking Metallic Silver was blended and smudged out. The lips were a skin tone with a pop of shine. For more on this show, including how to add a wig to long hair, click HERE

CommentLoose, Sensuous Hair Prepped with Tulle – 2016
The hair by WorldGreat Peter Gray at the Badgley Mischka Spring 2016 New York Fashion Week Show was loose and sensual with some texture at the ends. Peter Gray prepped it during the long wait backstage before the show with charmingly photographic tulle tied at the neck, ending a big bow, to keep it in place. Catwalk TIGI’s US Creative Director, Thomas Osborn, created care-free undone polished hair with a touch of volume on the crown with gentle buckled waves and a side swept effect for the Libertine New York Fashion Week Spring Show for 2016. Gorgeous Man With Long Modern Hair – 2016
Men’s hair is getting longer again for the avant-garde and it’s only a matter of time before more men are growing their hair longer, as seen here on this gorgeous man at the Nicopanda Spring 2016 New York Fashion Week Presentation. Peter Gray, who did three different hair looks for this Presentation likes “the wet, sweaty head, sort of like someone just came out of a concert,” he explained. “Although the hair looks wet, it’s dry and the moisture is sealed into the hair.” More, click HERE

CommentGlitter Glitters on Faces – 2016
Glitter glittering is cool right now. The New York Fashion Week Presentation for Nicola Formichetti’s Nicopanda featured punk, goth, romance and glitter on faces for her and him. Maki Ryoke, Mac Makeup Artist, blew the glitter on in strategic places, protecting the rest of the face and the hair by Peter Gray, which included three different hair looks presented in three different rooms. Here, the hair is crimped in here and there on her and glam, softly waved, behind one ear on him, worn with an athletic hoodie look tied with a satin bow.
