Lady Gaga Dazzles @ Oscars – 2016
Lady Gaga dazzled them at the 88th Academy Award ceremony. There was sheer amazement seeing so many abuse survivors coming forth into the spotlight on stage after she sang “Til It Happens to You” from the movie The Hunting Ground, the song she wrote with Diane Warren which was nominated for an Oscar at the 2016 spectacular event. The audience was touched, in tears, and her performance, introduced by Vice-President Joe Biden no less, was one of those special Oscar highlight moments.
Her hair, shown here on the red carpet, was blonde, waved, glam, created by stylist Frederic Aspiras for Pai Shau, using a cocktail of products of which you will hear more. Remember the name: Pai Shau. Her makeup by Sarah Tanno included Phyto-Ombre Mango eye shadow blended with copper, toffee, brown and burgundy, in the crease, warm tones which worked well with the white sculptured top, jumpsuit and skirt by designer Brandon Maxwell. Her Lorraine Schwartz earrings are said to be worth a whopping $8 miillion!! Dazzling in every way, Lady Gaga …

“Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes” – 2014
La Coupe photos from Hair Fashion Photo Archives on helenoppenheim.com from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s have been selected by Harold Leighton for his article in the February 2014 issue of Atlantic Avenue Magazine. He would like to inspire hairdressers to do hair like this at the Oscars, Emmys and Golden Globes. I’ll be blogging on Oscar hair on Sunday, March 2. Hope it was more interesting than the blah styles at the Globes and at last year’s Oscars! Stay tuned …
