I like to remember John Sahag (1952-2005)  as in this photo I took of him when he beamed at me during a Wednesday Night Creative Evening with his “kids” in 1996.  June 15  2016 is eleven years since he left us, far too soon.  This collage is by Pascalain Gianello and you can see many more collages of Sahag, some by me, many by Gianello, the King of Collages, if you click HERE

One of the John Sahag Tribute collages by Pascalain Gianello in 2015 to help mark the 10th year since the legendary hairdresser left us. Kirsty Hume, voted one of People Magazine’s 50 most beautiful people in 1996, wears animal hair extensions, probably the first like this anywhere, ever. John Sahag beams and sends his love forever.

John Sahag Playful With Love - 1995

Playful is one of my favorite John Sahag albums, It shows legendary hairdresser taking hair from long to short, with love.  And there are some terrific technical words under most photos for Sahag fans to read.   Sahag was playful that day. “Your craft has to be fun,” quipped Sahag of this collection. “I am having fun here. If it is not fun, you might as well pack up your bags and leave town!”    More and the technical how-to, click:
