Short HighHair

1.  Short hair with a flirty kiss curl.
The longest part of the haircut is above the front hairline, where a graceful, fan-like band of weight gives height, for HairHair. We will show you in the next photo how to make this short hair long, in a flash.

3. Long Romantic HighHair
This look answers the age-old question – how to dress up short hair for evening, in a flash. Her hair was permed (this was 1980!) by Edward Moore, using La Maur Apple Pectin. The Queue was permed with texture to match by Liz Sims, and “air neutralized” for 24 hours, then rinsed and conditioned with Vidal Sassoon’s Treatment Products.

Here Avram is adding the queue he invented to his own hair, in one easy movement.

5. Love his queue, the beard, the ruffles, so romantic.

He ponders…what? Don’t fence me in perhaps!

Sassoon The Queue - Romantic Duel

Romantic Duel, hair by Barbara Melzer, Vidal Sassoon NY, 1980

6. There was a fencing and romantic theme to this campaign… went with the hair… the shirts had frills and ruffles, very new that season.

Anecdote: Avram later wore his ruffle shirt with a flowing black cape when we went to Venice and
Rome after a hair show for Llongueras in Barcelona, Spain. I remember he was a big sensation
everywhere and when we went to a trendy restaurant in Rome, the other customers actually put
down their knives and forks when we walked into the restaurant.
