Memories. With John Sahag and Rachel – 1997
Memories. At the end of a creative evening one Wednesday in 1997. Here I am with John Sahag at the John Sahag Workshop and Rachel Bick of Rachel’s Saga albums on the website. Wednesday Night creative evenings were for the talent at Sahag to do what they wanted to do, to be creative, and to learn when Sahag gave a demonstration. I was in charge of the evenings and everyone was always very creative!

Rachel’s Saga Part 111 by John Sahag – 1997
1997. John Sahag’s Part 111 of Rachel’s Saga never made it to a photo studio and, as far as I know, was never released because these were my last photos with John Sahag and I left shortly after. Pity, the haircut, color and style are all magnificent. And wouldn’t have happened had Rachel not gone in that swimming pool full of chlorine without protecting her hair color. In this album, Sahag worked with the color that was left over after all the problems and used it for a very interesting finished look. He liked odd.
For how-to “very well engineered details” see and read what is in the whole album, click: And check out Rachel Part 1 and Part 11 Albums for full story what to do if you want to know Sahag’s full solution for hair gone green in a swimming pool full of chlorine.

CommentJohn Sahag, Rachel’s Saga, Part 11 – 1996
This is Rachel, six months after Rachel’s saga began when her hair turned green after swimming in a pool filled with chlorine. John Sahag with colorist Jennifer Chune to the rescue. They let her black roots grow in and here Sahag, in what he called a burst of creative energy, took her haircut somewhere else. He called it the Multi Cut because it had unlimited multi-shapes in one cut and integrated Rachel’s new re-growth for a totally modern approach to color. These are prep photos I took, the hair almost done but not fully camera finished by Sahag. But he liked them enough to include them in the press release.
The photographer did not shoot in color but you can see the color here and the multi shapes in the other photos of the Collection. For more versions, how-to handle after swim hair problems, and much more on the Rachel Saga Part 11,click here and scroll and and forth.

CommentJohn Sahag, Rachel Part lll – 1997
John Sahag often gave his last client or model a glass of champagne or wine, and here’s Rachel, a John muse, enjoying hers as he concentrated to put finishing touches to her hair. He always really concentrated when he cut hair. For the finished look (unpublished, the last I did for Sahag) and a how-to, go to the last album on HairThen, John Sahag, Sahag Press Photos, Rachel Part lll on www.helenoppenheim.com/ It will be worth it!
