In front of over 29,000 tennis fans, a record, Serena Williams played what could have been her last match before retiring at the US Open on opening night. But she won. Of course, she was dressed in black for the New York audience, and went further than any other tennis player and added lots of glitz and sparkles – on her dress, in and on her hair, too. Her husband, Alexis Ohanian, Reddit co-founder/chairman, and her daughter, Olympia, with beaded braids like the hair Serena wore for her first US Open, added to the fashion moments unlike any others.
