“Elle” is a controversial rape revenge movie starring Isabelle Huppert as a resolute head of a successful video game company in Paris. The movie is directed by Paul Verhoeven, who gave us Sharon Stone opening her legs and the famous ice pick scene with Michael Douglas in “Basic Instinct.” This movie is a provocative cat and mouse fantasy game with a rape victim who seems to like it. It takes place in Paris and will shock you, make you squirm, give you plenty to talk about after – as it did when it was the last movie shown at the Cannes Film Festival.
