Bonk. I want to bonk all hairdressers who say on social media or TV or wherever that they are a “Celebrity Stylist.” Most are not. So why say it? As an Editor and former PR who has worked with real celebrity hairstylists, it is annoying when so many say they are. It is said so often no one takes the name ‘Celebrity Stylist’ seriously any longer, except perhaps your friends on social. When I did PR, I had to name at least three household name celebrities to even get a big article somewhere major. If you do or have done the hair of a real famous celebrity, fine, but if only one celebrity, and it is a minor one, then can you please find another way to say who you are? Why does anyone let anyone wear a wig that looks like a wig?   Unless it is a blue or colored wig for fun. Seriously, I see so many wigs on the street that are painful to look at. Many are for religious reasons, some for medical ones. Men who wear wigs just must find the right wig, Not one obviously a wig. For one thing, stay away from a style with a part, guys. Who is selling these people these dreadful wigs? There is no excuse, even less expensive wigs can look natural, especially with a good hair shape or cut.  No one need look like they are wearing a wig, not now. Tut, tut.  There are respected names in the hair world who are posting other’s peoples’ photos on their Facebook pages –with no credits at all.

Why?  To feed their pages with new photos every day.  I am losing respect for these so-called  respected hair talents.  They know how much everyone puts into a photo shoot – and should know better.

Those who Share these uncredited photos on their Facebook pages are making the situation worse …  and far too many are doing this, not caring a hoot about credits. They  don’t know any better because most haven’t produced their own photo sessions, but those who have know people usually put their heart and soul into these photo shoots, and spend a lot of money on them, or people do them for nothing or nothing much.  Whichever, they deserve to be credited.  Where is integrity?  Gone out of the window …
