The Wisp-er – 1977
A new album, just up. The Wisp-er had fine wisps of hair flirting on the forehead, one nestled on the neck, by Kim Lepine for La Coupe in 1977. The wisps followed the natural growth patterns of the
hair and were subtle, as always with Kim.
The Model is Anne Holbrooke, a famous face in the 70s, Vogue covers, in Harper’s Bazaar all the time. And more. She was a client of Kim Lepine and wanted to do this photo shoot with Kim. In fact, she flew from New York to Montreal just to do it.
It is not easy to photograph hair with mirrors but this Wisp-er is surreal and interesting For more, see HairThen, La Coupe, 70s on www.helenoppenheim.com
